WHITEWATER TONGARIRO    Raft more rapids on the Whitewater Tongariro, than any other half day professionally rafted river in Aotearoa (New Zealand). A turbulent train of sparkling freshwater descending a steep volcanic and native bush clad gorge. Exploring and jumping the hidden Puketarata Falls will totally quench those that dare (optional & conditions permitting).  Enjoy river snacks and when returning back to our base, there's a streamside hot pool & legendary hot kai (food) afterwards.

This rafting trip is our most popular, and ideal for Groups, Backpackers, Free Independent Travellers, and often Honeymooners.   *Exclusive rafting can be arranged for those who enjoy the peace and tranquility of their own guided trip, or trout fishing experience.

Equipment:  All river and safety apparel supplied.  Bring swimsuit and towel.
Allow: 4 hours round trip.
Meet times in Tokaanu - Summer: 9am and 2pm.  Spring & Autumn: 9am and 1pm. Winter: midday.
Meet place: Wai Maori Adventures, Tokaanu Thermal Village. 
Suitable for 13 years and older; 10 - 12 years old with special conditions including adult 1:1 ratio
Cost: NZ$109 adults, NZ$99 children 16 years and younger. *Exclusive rafting - price on application.
