The RANGITIKEI RIVER is a 40 minutes drive from Taihape.  Depending on rainfall this steep 2 1/2 hour stretch of wild river, has varying levels of river flows.  Within a hilly rural valley, this river can offer heart thudding higher water rafting, or technically challenging lower water fun, but mostly something very exciting in between.

Equipment:  All river and safety apparel supplied. Bring swimsuit and towel.
Allow: 5 hours for round trip.
